About Me

Hi all, I'm Ali, but you can call me Al. All my close friends/family do.

That's my furry sidekick Miley.

I'm the middle of three girls and part time mom to my fur baby. She lives with my parents so I visit when I can.

During the week I spend my days enjoying the hustle and bustle of city life in Minneapolis.

While my weekends are typically spent in the North woods of Wisconsin doing one of two things.

Getting all the sun...

...or embracing my environment with all the flannel and fake fur a girl can find.

I just turned 30, so I come here to share my many failed attempts at getting in shape, dating and my less failed attempts at cooking. That I can actually do pretty well.

Sit back with a glass of wine and come along with me on this journey we all call life.

~Ali

  1. Hey! I just found your blog through the Minnesota Bloggers group. Just when I thought everyone was married with (or without) kids, I'm so thankful to find you! I just moved back to the area and am newly single myself. Love your blog - it's fun reading another Minnesotan's perspective!

My name is Joel Adam Goble and I am writing you as I see you are a member of Minnesota Bloggers. We just recently launched our official Kickstarter Campaign for our film Sultan of Scrape that is being shot right here in Minnesota. We are looking to connect with people such as your self who may be interested in passing along our link below possibly in your blog or just to others around Minnesota. I know this may sound odd to receive something like this in a email but trust me we are just looking for great writers and Minnesotans to really hop on board. We loved your blog and decided to shoot you this email. You can find out more about us from the link below including the film and who we are.

    http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/810503478/sultan-of-scrape-the-men-of-quiet-valor

Sultan of Scrape is based on the incredible true story of the men and women of the Cook County Highway Department in Grand Marais MN. It details the heroic efforts that they undertook on July 4th 1999 during the BWCA BLOWDOWN. A true story about the blue collar heroes of Minnesota.

I thank you for your time and I wish you the best and hope you enjoy this great Minnesota weather.

    Thanks
