Friday was my parents 39th wedding anniversary! Can you believe that?
At the rate I'm going, I'll be lucky to get half of those years with one person who also decides that we can live under one roof with each other and not kill the other one. Fingers crossed!
To celebrate they asked that me, my sisters and niece join them at the cabin for family time. It's been a while since just the five of us have spent time together, and this year Sylvie got to join in on the fun too.
A couple of years ago my dad found a restaurant near Spooner, WI that is a renovated farm house called Pine Brook Farm. He wanted to take the whole family there to celebrate their anniversary and I'm so glad he did.
Pine Brook Farm is an old farm that was owned by the Gillette family from Gillette Children's Hospital in St. Paul until it was sold in 2012 and turned into a restaurant.
They have the main farm house which is the restaurant and gift shop, an old shed that is call the Wood Tick Bar and another out building that had seating for BBQ's and live music.
It's definitely a restaurant I hope to return to some day and enjoy a cocktail while listening to some live music.
