As I mentioned in my last post, I want to gain the knowledge on how to eat right, how to make smart substitutions, and just to learn what I can in the most simplest, laymen's terms way possible.
We talked through her two different coaching styles and I decided to go with the If It Fits Your Macros (IIFYM) method. The next step will be for me to do a resting metabolic assessment which I will do next week. Once we have my results from the resting metabolic assessment, Allison, my Nutritionist, can pin point my exact calories needed to maintain/lose weight.
Since I go to chips or candy on my stressful days I think this method is the best for me personally. I can adjust my days food/beverage intake if I really, really, really, need to break in to my candy stash.
I am pretty excited to start working with Allison and seeing where this can take me.
I'm not exactly sure what it is, but something happened recently where I finally decided to put any bullshit that comes in to my life behind me.
Bullshit walks in the door
Me: BYE Felicia!
I need to put myself first, while that might sound selfish to some, to me, I think it's about time I stopped making sure I pleased everyone else around me, and make sure to please myself first.
Granted it's only been about a week since this revelation has happened, but I wake up in the morning (feeling like P. Diddy) with a clearer mind and an eagerness to get to the gym at the end of the day. A realization that I am worth something and that also means being selfish with my time and energy.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I am so excited for this 60 Day Challenge! I think it will be more than just a physical transformation, but an internal, love myself, self appreciation transformation as well.
