This week I've been off on what day it truly is. I think it has something to do with the fact that this is only the second full week I've worked since 2014 began. I'm not complaining, but it certainly throws you off.
I don't have a whole lot to share today. I'm still working on getting some pictures from the camera to the computer. But since I don't have my own computer, it's a slow process. I just have some delicious recipes I want to share. Especially last nights dinner. Beef Stew. It was amazing, and one serving is just 246 calories! No seasoning packets here.
One thing that has made me so happy, and solidified the fact that "You aren't given anything in this world that you can't handle", is the fact that I am now miles closer to being debt free by 30. I've been working on this for two years and I have six months to go until the big 3-0, but just $6,000 until that debt is gone!
I've lived the last two years with no credit cards. Only living on what I take home, which honestly, isn't much. I've learned to save. I've learned to live within my means. And I really learned to think about a purchase before buying. I could (and did), save up for my vacation (paid all cash), instead of going out for lunch every day, or buying a new pair of shoes.
Finally being able to see the end of this struggle with my debt has made the fact that I have to give up baby Uncle Sam seem like just a little bump in the road that I can coast through. Not like one of those giant speed bumps you have to stop at before crossing.
