AM gym sesh say what?!

This morning my horoscope read 

"Try something new today! Even if you feel totally settled in a good routine, you should find that you can learn something new and handy without losing any ground. Innovation is in the air!"

Well guess what? This morning I did do something new! I went to the gym. Yes, I went to the gym before work. I keep forgetting that I have a fitness center in my office building. I'm up at 6:00 AM every day, but I get to work 20-30 minutes early every day. I thought to my self, 'self, why don't you take an earlier bus to work and actually do something productive in the AM?'

Now, today didn't go exactly as planned. I missed the bus. Just as I was coming around the corner, it zoomed by. I tried to beat it to a park and ride, but I missed it every time so I just drove in to work. There goes $12 for parking, but I got to work and got in a good hour of exercise. 

30 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes of weights. Yup, I never do machines at my usual gym. You know, the one I pay for and hardly ever go to any more. Well, that's about to change. I'm kicking this work out thing in to high gear. There will be some two a days going on because summer time and bathing suit weather will be coming here...some day.

I did three reps of 10 of each of these machines. Lets just say, my arms are shaking.

Machines and weights really intimidate me. Especially at my 'chain' gym. All those guys grunting and using super heavy weights, acting all douche baggy cool. The fitness center at work is quite the opposite. There are less machines, but also way less people. It give me the time to read the description on each machine and how to properly execute said machine so I can do it properly. This way, when I can't make it in early, or I want a good workout session at my 'chain' gym, I won't feel so intimidated to get behind a machine and start grunting.
