Weekend Review

Hope everyone had a fun filled weekend. This girl was busy!

I've been somewhat strict with making sure I get my training runs in so Friday after work I busted out three miles in 26:51. My fastest 3 mile run ever!

You might notice there's been talks of a fella around these parts lately. Well, he took me out to some breweries on Friday night. We started at Northbound Smokehouse in South Minneapolis and had dinner and a couple beers. They smoke all of their meats/cheeses/fish. I had a turkey sandwich with smoked turkey, smoked bacon and smoked cheddar cheese. It was really delicious. After we ate we headed over to Harriet Brewing where we tried some more beers and listened to the band they had. My favorite was the Divine Oculust (on the left).

Saturday was spent running errands and making the best garlic mashed potatoes I've ever made. It was Girl Cousin night and we were having an Irish themed dinner since that side of the family is very Irish.

I was excited to see Lela again!

We had a lot of good food.

Corned beef, roasted carrots, roasted cabbage, salad, and garlic mashed potatoes.

Dessert was Irish Car Bomb cupcakes that my little sister made. They were so good! We also had Irish Flag shots.

And played Cards Against Humanity.

Some of us went in the hot tub and played truth or dare. Mostly dare which every dare was something snow related. "I dare you to make a snow angel!", "I dare you to do a handstand in the snow!". You know, typical things girls in their 20's & 30's do.

We all crashed around 2:00...or was it 3:00. Let's just say, we watched the clocks change over for day light savings and then everyone was out for the count.

Sunday was a blur of Perkins lunch, errands, laundry and dog cuddles. I'm officially 100% packed for my trip this week. These days already feel long with having to wake up, what feels like an hour early, and now I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve waiting for Santa to come. I'm exhausted from these last two weeks at work, and my brain is fried. This vacation is very much welcomed.

Tonight is the Bachelor finale! Who is your pick?
