Vacation Part 3 and New decor

On our third day in Nuevo Vallarta we were a little worn out from the sun the day before so we had a relaxing morning. I started with a 3 mile run at the fitness center which was awful! The fitness center is in the basement of the resort, but it's so humid in there and I'm not used to humidity, at least not yet, it's still winter here folks. I ran my first mile then went down to 3 and worked my way up by adding .10 of a mile every .10. I finished the run in about 30 minutes.

When I got back to the room my parents were still sleeping! My family doesn't sleep in unless your my brother-in-law, someone who does not have our blood, so I was surprised that they were still zonked out at 8:30 AM.

When my parents finally got up we had a huge plate of bacon and some mimosas before heading down to the beach for happy hour!

We spent a couple hours with our feet in the sand and relaxing with our books. I had a hard time drinking anything but water this day. The idea of a margarita made me sick. Guess someone had too much fun the day before!

We spent some time online searching for a restaurant to go to and Trip Advisor put Sandrina's as #1, so we thought we would give it a shot. Boy oh boy am I glad we did!

It's not on the beach, but it has this beautiful garden with flowers, and trees, and lights and waterfalls.

It's a Mediterranean restaurant run by Greek Canadians in Mexico

Dinner started with bread and butter in these cute little packets.

Sandrina's is also a boutique and they have some really neat glassware. Every plate, glass, candle holder, salt shaker etc. was different. I picked up two of the wine glasses below.

I had the most amazing dinner and I can't wait to try and recreate it. It was a chicken breast with spinach, a layer of garlic and topped with brie. Roasted vegetables, potatoes and pickled beets and onions on the side. Seriously. Mouth watering.

For dessert we split the creme brule cheese cake. Again. Amazingly delicious.

If you ever go to Nuevo/Puerto Vallarta, please take a trip to Bucerias and go to Sandrina's. You won't regret it.

I have serious cabin fever coming back home to the cold and snow and I've been craving some flowers and decor change in my apartment so I had a small shopping spree at TJ Maxx which also has a Home Goods in it. Double Score!

New place mat & pitcher from TJ Maxx/Home Goods and fresh flowers from Rainbow. Three bundles for $12? Yes, please! They sure do brighten up our kitchen. I just wish I was home more to enjoy them.

I also picked up this green bowl and candle to add to the coffee table since the only thing the coffee table hosted was dust. The candle smells like spring cleaning. You know the smell, fresh air, open windows, every thing smells and feels fresh and clean. That's the candle. Of course I had to enjoy my new flowers, decor and candle with one of my wine glasses from Sandrina's!

To wrap up this too long of a post, I'm fully back into training and going to the gym.

I did my three mile training run outside last night, but totally bit it on some ice and landed right on my knee so I had to walk some.

And followed that with an hour spin class. Oh how I missed my spin classes!

It's Wednesday. Peace out.
