One of the perks of working for a small company is that we can have snow days! We have people that work from Chicago, Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania, so if we get bad weather here in Minnesota, we don't have a total shut down, but we don't have to risk our safety just to to make sure someone has their Malpractice Insurance renewed.
I got a call from my manager Tuesday morning, just as I was about to walk out of my apartment and tackle the un-plowed streets and sidewalks when she told me I didn't have to come in to work! It was the best news I've had all winter.
I have to admit, I felt a little guilty laying on my couch all day, falling in and out of sleep and catching up on some very important TV.

These girls have more drama in 45 minutes than I've had in my 28 glorious years.
The only thing I accomplished was lunch prep for the week and emptying the dishwasher from the night before and reloading it. The weekends are always so busy, that it was pretty awesome to have this day off with not a thing planned. I couldn't even really leave if I wanted to.

The 'ol Tiburon doesn't do so well in the snow. Quite frankly, I don't even know if I'll be able to get out of the parking spot I'm in since my car is so low. That's the result of buying your first car when you're 21 and think you're too cool for a four door vehicle.
She treats me well though. We've had 7 years together and lots of miles with the sun roof open, windows down, music blasting, cruising the farm fields between Sioux Falls and Minneapolis.
