Oh...it's Valentine's Day?

The older I get, the more I've come to realize that Valentine's Day isn't just for the married/in a relationship/it's complicated folk, nope, it's for the singleton's too.

There's no one that loves me, more than me, and I realize that every day because sometimes I'd rather spend time with myself than with someone I'm so-so about. So in honor of my relationship with myself, I wore pink {with enough black to let people know I'm single?}.

Then I treated myself to a donut from the best bakery in town, and a latte that I've been craving for weeks but I didn't want the sugar because Mexico is officially one month from today!

I knew it had started to snow last night, but I didn't know it was going to snow as much as it did. I was pleasantly surprised with how {this might sound korny} magical it felt walking to the bus stop this morning.

It was warm, like near 30 degrees warm. The snow was fluffy and wet and stuck to everything in sight. There were even birds chirping! The Groundhog was right, Spring is going to come early this year! You could almost smell it in the air.

I'm also still rocking the Valentine's manicure I gave myself.

So whether you're with someone, or not, treat yourself to a little something special today. After all, it is a day of love and if you can't love yourself, than what can you love?

Happy Valentine's Day!

    1. It's downtown Minneapolis. It's above Hell's Kitchen (it's their bakery). I walked in this morning and saw a maple donut with bacon on top!

  5. I totally agree about the snow this morning. It was rough coming home from Florida, but it's mornings like this that make me appreciate MN :)
