Juice Reboot: Day 4

Today started out like any other normal day, pre-juicing. My alarm went off at 6:00 AM and I snoozed it 3 times. I did not want to get out of bed. It hit me that it's finally Friday though, I can sleep in tomorrow morning and the Vikings are going to beat the Packers again!

I packed my two juices for the day and headed out the door, only to discover that while walking to the bus my lunch juice was leaking. In my new white canvas bag. And on my jeans. I had juice everywhere! I was not off to a good start.

It was not a good start to my day. Then I drank my orange juice I made the night before! I swear, I can't say it enough, the instant energy and alertness I get after having a juice is amazing! I don't feel the crash for about two hours, when I know it's time for another juice or some more water.


Breakfast
4 oranges
2 carrots
2 celery stalks

I've been having some of the side effects, light headaches, coated tongue, more time in the bathroom.

One that's a concern to me is feeling light headed, dizzy and having the sensation that I'm going to pass out. I started to feel this way yesterday late afternoon, was a little unsteady getting out of bed this morning, and have felt this way on and off during the day today.


Lunch (same as yesterday's dinner), and my giant water bottle. I drink, 2-3 of these a day.

Doubt filled my head again today. I don't like feeling like I'm going to pass out if I lift my head too fast, or stand up too quick. I'm wondering if I'm a little over my head by trying to go 20 days straight juicing.

I had written out that I was going to adjust the fast and allow myself to eat a raw meal during the day. I have since deleted that and I fell to a new low and actually bought a bag of Chex Mix, shoveled a few pieces into my mouth before highly disliking myself and throwing the rest in the garbage.

I can do it! I can do it! I can do it! I can do it! I can do it!

The one change I am making, is that I'm only going to do the juice reboot for 10 days and not the original 20 days with five days on either side to ease in/out of the fast.

I think I jumped the gun a little too quick by going full on 20 days only juice. In all honesty I should have started out with a long weekend reboot and then worked my way up. Since I'm already on day 4 and I'm noticing the effects of juicing, I'm going to continue on, and tomorrow will start the beginning of juicing only.

I think it might be easier to juice only on the weekends. It'll be extremely low key and I can figure out a schedule and how many juices I'll have to prep and bring to work with me next week.

Who knows, maybe on day 10, I'll want to continue on another 10 days. But I need to set my goal realistically here, and with 20 days I was setting myself up for failure.

Time for another trip to the grocery store.
