Rambles

First off, I'm going to ramble. Yesterday was one of the worst days I've had in a while. It started out great! Better than most days. I woke up before my alarm, refreshed and energized. I picked out a cute outfit. I was having a great, straight hair day. And to top it off, I was invited to go to breakfast at Hell's Kitchen with the President of our company and a few other co-workers. 

Then I sat down at my desk and the dumb in everyone came out. People forwarding me emails asking for a call-in number for a committee meeting we have tomorrow, meanwhile the email they forwarded had all the information in it. Three, yes three different individuals did that. I responded with the same email.


An email chain going back and forth about why letters weren't sent out on Monday when they have a 24 hour turn around period. Umm, dork face! Post Offices were closed! Unless you want to hand deliver these notices to your clients all over the East coast, by all means, do it. Veteran's Day, means no mail. If something is that important, give it more than 24 hrs to be mailed out.

I didn't take a lunch because I was too busy and couldn't get away from my desk, so I ate potato chips, cookies and Coke. Which made me feel horrible and fat.

Finally, the lack of responses from people for our Pre-Thanksgiving Pot Luck. Out of 40 people, 5 are coming. I even went and individually emailed people to see if they were going to be able to come, and still no response. Makes you feel pretty crappy that people don't even have the courtesy to RSVP.


The stupidity of some of my co-workers combined with the lack of response from friends, put me in tears yesterday. There's nothing worse than the feeling of being completely alone.

Thank goodness for wine is all I can say about that.

Now, on to what I really want to talk about.

Getting my fitness on!

Last week I mentioned that I managed to hurt my foot, well, I think the pain has gone down enough that I can finally get a good run in today.

I told you that I'm going to be running a 5k on Dec. 1, so this bad boy is healing up just in time.

I honestly think I must have bruised my heel because that's where the pain starts and would slowly spread the longer I would be on my foot. I also kind of suck at stretching, so that could be it too. I'm no doctor, what do I know?

I was however successful with the core work out I did. I wish I had taken measurements, but I couldn't find my tape measure, until the other night when I was scrambling through boxes I've yet to unpack.

I'm going to replace the core work out with this Tone Up Tight Routine. I think I'm going to do these for two weeks at a time instead of the original one week I originally planned. I'll also take my measurements so I can share with you any changes in those two weeks.

I'm excited to get a run in tonight. It's warming up again that I might even do a lap around the neighborhood then jump on the treadmill for 2 or 3 miles. 

Here's to better days ahead. Regardless of our turnout on Saturday, we're going to have an awesome time, because we're awesome people.
