Once again, my dad scored awesome seats to a Twins game, this time he left the co-workers at home and brought his three daughters and his Son-in-law.
We had 2nd row seats right on the third base line. I have never been that low in any stadium except the Metrodome, and it was awesome!
The Twins taking their positions on the field.
Joe Mauer came to visit us a couple times on 3rd base. I'm kind of out of my 'Joe Mauer I'm going to marry you faze' and just a large admirer of his back side. All those years catching does a body good. And milk. It's the cows!
There was a really pretty full moon rising over the ball park. If I had a real camera and not just my iPhone, you can bet your bottom dollar that this would be a pretty sweet picture. But I'm poor as a donkey, so I work with what I got. Kapeesh?
The boys managed to pull out a 10-0 win over Seattle. We had such a great time!
On to what I'm really blogging about now, or as of a few weeks ago. Food, and trying to eat better. I'm not going to deprive myself when I'm out having fun and want to live in the moment. So, I ate a Twins Dog and two beers. I give myself credit for that because I would normally drink a lot more beer than that, and have nachos, and peanuts, and probably an ice cream treat to end out the night. It was really hard to not get more and over indulge, but as I said in a previous post, I'm tired of letting myself down, so I'm working on staying true to my goal.
They say it takes 14 days for a habit to stick. I'm only on day 6, and I see my strength improving as far as my will power to say no to extra drinks or bad food choices.
