I really want to start adding more pictures to my blog and I've seen on some blogs that people kind of wrap up their weekly post with 'my week in Instagram'. I only took a couple of pictures with my phone this week, so there isn't a whole lot to share. But here's what I have.
And finally, I purchased a new book this week, along with some new nail polish color. If I can't afford a 35 mani/pedi every other week, I'm at least going to pamper myself. What I can't get over is that this book was $17! I love these books though, there are four in the series and this is the second book. Thank goodness my library card came in the mail this week, because I don't think I want to fork over another $40 for the other two books! If you like a good chick-flick read, pick up this series by Nora Roberts. It has the right amount of girlfriend fun, drama, boys, lust, love, weddings and everything that makes up a good chick book.
Stay tuned next week as I hope to have plenty more pictures to recap my week. I'm heading North after work today and the whole family will be up there. Kari is also having her birthday celebration on Friday and it's Cinco De Mayo on Saturday! If I don't have pictures, then maybe it means I had too good of a time?! We'll see.
Now, one little rant. I was doing so good trying to lose just 5 more pounds before Memorial Day, I know I still have a month, but I'm so disappointed in myself. I was working out during my lunch and making salads or left overs to bring so I wouldn't eat out. When I would get home, I would Zumba or do a DVD like Pilates or something off Netflix. When I weighed myself at the end of the week I was at my lowest weight since my South Dakota days. Down 25 pounds! Until this week and I totally crashed and burned. My cravings have been out of this world, eating Leeann Chin and Taco Johns for lunch (potato ole's with sour cream!) and large pasta portions for dinner. One sauce called for a whole stick of butter! Besides that I only worked out three times this week and I didn't even push myself very hard. Stepped on the scale and up 3 lbs. Ouch! Here's back to the grind, eating healthy and hard workouts!
'Man friend' and I went out on Monday for some drinks. I've said it before and I'll say it again. We are a lot alike. When I'm seeing someone, sometimes I like to not initiate a text or phone call to see if they will, if they miss me and want to see what I'm up to. Apparently he's the same way! We didn't talk for four days and he was quick to point it out. It's funny because we both said we were annoyed that we didn't hear from the other person. Well, we've talked every day this week, a bit of an improvement.
